What Is the Fraxel Laser Resurfacing Patient Experience?

Fraxel Laser Skin Resurfacing is generally well tolerated. A numbing cream is applied 30 to 60 minutes before the procedure, and a cooling device during treatment helps to minimize discomfort. Some patients describe the sensation created by the laser as a warm tingling or a series of quick, tiny pricks. Duration of procedures can vary, depending on the size of the treatment area. 

What Is the Recovery Time?

Downtime can vary depending on the intensity of treatment and the individual patient. Most patients can return to normal activities within a day or two after Fraxel Restore and a week after Fraxel Repair. You can expect to experience some redness and swelling within the first day or two, and the skin may begin to peel and flake as it heals on approximately the second or third day after treatment.
